Shireen Cheong has Professional Teacher Certificates for Latin American and Standard Ballroom. She has many years of performing and teaching experience. She was 1995 Singapore National Ballroom Champion and represented Singapore in the Prestigious Prince Mikasa Cup in Tokyo.

Course Description

Ladies' Dancercise is designed creatively by the Trainer as a regular form of exercise specially for
ladies over 35, who want to effectively energise their whole body from lethargy. It is ideal for those who can only manage one hour a week to get an overall exercise from head to toe.
It is a creative low impact dancercise, which uses specific dance movements from a variety of rhythms to work out the different parts of the body. These moves focus on posture, stamina, shaping up, balance, coordination, flexibility and sense of rhythm.
Participants can enjoy current and classic rhythms of pop music, salsa, merengue, bachata,
cha-cha, samba, rock & roll, waltz, rumba, rhythm, viennese waltz, jive, disco rock, quickstep, tango, foxtrot.
The one-hour session starts with a 10-15 minutes warm-up movements, followed by 35-40 minutes of continuous dance movements, alternating between slow and fast timing. The session tails off with slow movements.
The Trainer gives clear step-by-step instructions and demonstrates throughout the session.
Attire: Sportswear and exercise shoes (suitable for dance moves)
